The dermatological surgery consultation

Examining the skin

The consultation starts by listening to you and examining the lesion, and often the whole skin, with a dermatoscope, a magnifying tool that reveals pigment structures invisible to the naked eye.

AI-assisted screening

The practice uses a high-resolution imaging system (Fotofinder) that photographs and maps your moles. The AI-assisted analysis compares your lesions from one visit to the next and helps detect subtle changes, which is especially useful for patients at risk.

The procedure

Most procedures are performed at the practice under local anaesthesia: they are painless and usually take less than 30 minutes. The lesion removed is always sent to the pathology laboratory to confirm the diagnosis.

Follow-up

The analysis result is given and explained to you. Depending on your risk profile, regular follow-up is offered, with reference photographs to compare your moles over time.

Fees and reimbursement

Dr Stroumza-Escoffier is contracted with the French national health insurance. As an indication, removal of a basal cell carcinoma or a simple scar revision start from 200 euros. A personalised quote is given after the first consultation.
